What is Monitoring?

Monitoring is an automated tool in the Vizit platform that will track the visual effectiveness of your product listings on Amazon in real-time and recommend ways to optimize your listing to be more effective.

Benefits of Monitoring

  • Monitoring automatically ingests your Amazon product's assets and information.
  • Monitoring automatically creates Benchmarks to compare your products against.
  • Monitoring automatically updates both your product and the Benchmark every 30 days.
  • Monitoring recommends optimizations to your listing to be more effective.

Adding Products to Monitoring

First, click on the New Listing button in the top right of the Monitoring homepage.

Next, select the Amazon region you want to pull the product from. Vizit supports monitoring products from the following regions:

Amazon US, Amazon Australia, Amazon Canada, Amazon France, Amazon Germany, Amazon India, Amazon Japan, Amazon Mexico, and Amazon UK.

Finally, identify which products you'd like to monitor and enter the ASIN or Amazon URL for the product in the monitor creation wizard. Vizit will automatically ingest the product's hero and carousel assets from Amazon.

Select an Audience lens

Monitors require an Audience Lens to be associated with them. We recommend selecting a lens that best represents your target buyer for the product in question.

Select a Benchmark

Monitoring supports two types of Benchmarks:

  • Best seller category benchmarks
  • Search term benchmarks

Best Seller Category Benchmarks (recommended)

Best seller category benchmarks are automatically detected based on the product entered at the beginning of the wizard. The wizard may detect one or many best seller benchmarks.

Best seller benchmarks are made up of up to 100 products. These products are best sellers according to Amazon. You can view all best seller categories on Amazon.  Best seller categories are broken out into two sub-benchmark types:

Hero Benchmark Carousel Benchmark

100 products = 100 hero assets in the benchmark

100 products = ~500 carousel assets in the benchmark (roughly 5 carousel assets per product)

Search Term Benchmarks

A search term benchmark can be automatically generated based on a term that you enter in the wizard. You should play around with different search terms on Amazon before you enter it in the wizard.

The first 100 products from the search term (ignoring ads) are scraped and broken out into two sub-benchmark types:

Hero Benchmark Carousel Benchmark

100 products = 100 hero assets in the benchmark

100 products = ~500 carousel assets in the benchmark (roughly 5 carousel assets per product)

Monthly Refresh

Every month, the latest assets will be collected from both the monitored products and the benchmarks. This refresh ensures that you are always looking at the most recent Amazon data.
